Meindl wint ISPO Award Footwear

Bergschoenspecialist Luks Meindl GmbH heeft met diens XO serie in de categorie Footwear de 'ispo Outdoor Awards' summer 04 gewonnen.

Het commentaar over deze nieuwe bergschoenen: "A superlight, stable multi-functional shoe with a GORE-TEX® XCR® membrane that stays waterproof for a long time and also affords an extremely comfortable foot climate, in particular in warm temperatures and/or when undergoing strenuous physical activity. Two new developments ensure that the textile materials perform at peak function, and that the shoe is thus particularly suited for Nordic Walking activities: 'Moulded Ribs', plastic ribs sprayed onto the outside, and the 'S3 system', a unique technology that protects any upper material from wear, whilst facilitating a very low weight of shoe."

"The protection against wear is applied in the form of a liquid rubber that stays absolutely neutral in form. This innovative package is supplemented by 'Variofix', a new style of heel fixing of thermoplastic synthetic material and a textile strip that stabilises the heel area in a lateral direction, and holds it in place perfectly."
